My food photography skills are consistently subpar, but I’ve been asked a lot this year what I’ve been eating/doing for energy + health, so enter this post ️ •• There’s an abundance of hypocrisy and so many different motivations in the health industry today that influence what ends up on our plate each mealtime: Gluten is bad; low-fat, high-carb diets are ideal; low-carb, high-fat diets are ideal; red meat causes heart attacks; subscribe to plant-based diets for longevity. 🤷🏻‍♀️ I don’t think there’s anyone on the 🌎 who has all the answers. For the better part of a year, I’ve been gradually tweaking my lifestyle surrounding food: everything from what I gravitate toward in the grocery store to what I actually end up putting in my system, the time I do it, and then considering how it influences my body and mind. It’s been a series of self-experiments and amateur sleuthing around the cryptic health field. Because I’ve gotten a few questions about what works (and what doesn’t!), I’m considering posting a series covering it.
